MayaJ is a weird and wonderful young woman who lives on the shore of the Mediterranean in northern Israel. Her music is her soul. Her lyrics are her own. Her mind is a tapestry of ideas shaped by a life in a land full of wonder and horror.
The music of MayaJ is heard on the streets of the Israeli town of Zichron Ya'akov where she is a regular street performer, developing her songs, following her muse, and building her following of fans.
MayaJ's debut CD, Weather, is the product of her evolution as an artist, influenced by her singer/songwriter dad, her unconventional lifestyle, and a small circle of friends who form the underbelly of Israeli counterculture.
