Harp Newsletter - November 2006 - Kfar Saba, Israel
also available at Sunita's web site

Dear friends & colleagues,

The holiday season in Israel recently passed with the conclusion of Ramadan. Every few years the Jewish New Year, Yom Kippur, and the week long Sukkot holiday overlap with the Muslim month of Ramadan. This results in a lengthy period of religious observance, family holidays, and special events. Our family loves to invite friends to eat at our home during Sukkot, the Jewish harvest festival that commemorates the ancient Hebrews sojourn in the desert after the escape from Egypt. Every night becomes a party as friends flow though to eat in our 'Sukkah', the temporary hut that traditional Jews build to remember the trials of the desert.

I'm currently touring the USA  for concerts and workshops. Check the schedule below to see if I'm coming to a location near you. Sorry for the short notice but it's been a bit hectic lately since my family moved to a new house last month.

B'Vrakha (blessings),
