I was first drawn to harp therapy through the work of Dr Ron Price*, founder of Healing Harps*. As a professional harpist for over 20 years, it offered the opportunity to use harp music in a more meaningful way. Two years ago, I was fortunate to be in Canada and the USA, and took both of the modules led by Tina Tourin* in the International Harp Therapy Program*. The timing of these opportunities and the birth of NEVEL were pure serendipity. We have a wonderful group of supportive harpists on the same journey together, using the traveling harp as a therapeutic tool.
I live in Kfar Saba, near Tel Aviv, where I have been part of two studies in the NICU at Meir Hospital. Currently, I’m also working at the Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petah Tikva. This is an exciting opportunity and my dream is to be hired not only to play for the kids, but also to teach the patients the harp. |
